Born in Windsor Ontario, Rick Hundey’s careers in community planning, management, and consulting led him to Toronto, London, Southampton, and Exeter over the years.

In 2005 Rick's first place award in the Alice Munro Writers’ Festival Short Story Contest was all the encouragement he needed to leave the safety of suits and ties for the unknown world of mystery writing.

Rick now has six Jack Beer mysteries under his belt. While it's gratifying to get two thumbs up in London Free Press reviews, Rick gets a bigger kick when his readers tell him they like the humour, the surprise endings, and the quirky dialogue.
